Meyerton Ringbal Club is a facility that offers the community the opportunity to join hands in participating in one of SA’s top rated family sports – Ringball. We pride ourselves on building and creating a lasting relationship with all our members by means of teaching them the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and dedication.
Meyerton Ringball Club, situated at the Meyerton Sports Grounds and affiliated with the Sedibeng Ringball District, has been in existence for several decades producing players and officials of South African standards, including the National Teams for Ringball South Africa.
Ringball is an old South African sport that was introduced in the traditional Afrikaans schools a few decades ago. Previously know as Korfbal, Ringball is played by both genders (separate ladies and gents teams) and by all ages. The game consists of 9 players (3 in each section) and is very similar to the game of netball. Our season start in January with club practice and continues on until April when we compete against other clubs in the Vaal Triangle area. After the Club Leagues, selection for the Provincial teams take place in May and a National Tournament (in Pretoria) is held each year.
